Is it normal that i never ask for fun christmas or birthday gifts?

Anytime anyone asks me to make a birthday or Christmas list, I can't think of anything. I always wind up asking for dumb shit like brand new work pants, new back support brace for work, a pack of hair ties, walking shoes, insoles, or a household item that's broken and needs replacing. People keep telling me to ask for expensive things but theres not really anything I want that's expensive. Is it normal? They usually either wind up getting me the items I asked for or they wind up getting me things I didn't ask for.

Give them a list of sex toys.

You'll either have a fun Christmas or they'll never ask for a list again.

Just opening the presents in a group environment should be fun!

  • I just say I dont want anything. It feels kind of greedy as an adult to ask for stuff since most of the time what you really need is something expensive, that's why you haven't gotten it yourself.. For the longest time my mom would get upset and insist I make a list of things I want and then she'd get upset because she didn't want to buy any of those things lol.
I am always happy for what I get. As a woman I typically get hygiene products and such and those are things I always need.

My dad used to ask us for lists of what we wanted from Santa Claus for Christmas when I was a kid.

My brother's favorite gifts were always the new underwear and socks our grandma got him every year for Christmas.

My ex’s mom would do that. All I asked for was a carpet shampooer, even though I probably could have said laptop or some shit.

My family never asked for lists. My mom just buys us stuff she likes or would want us to wear.
