Is it normal that i only like androgynous boys?

Ever since high school I've dated girly boys and it blows my father's mind. He hates them and even threw 1 of them out. My mother is ok with it but she doesn't have much say. I'm moving out soon so I can date whi I want but I know I'll never get a guy he likes.
