Is it normal that i pick my socks & roll cotton balls?

I have this "weird" habit. I have no idea when or why or where it started, but I pull cotton strings off of my (clean) socks and ball them up between my fingers. I throw them at friends and family, place them on friends and family, and sometimes even chew a hard one and spit them out... Then I vacuum...

          If I were a cat, I'm sure I'd be in Africa somewhere, humping something or... balling up fuzz from some other defenseless animal.
