Is it normal that i plant my toe nail clippings and finger nail clippings?

If I keep planting them in the same spot maybe a plant high in calcium will grow there.

  • Or maybe you'll grow a new human!

P.S. Finger and toe nails are made of protein, not calcium.

Proteins are made of amino acids, which are made of molecules, which are made of atoms. Calcium is an element, so yes, there might be calcium in his fingernails. Fingernails are composed of keratin

I sent my pig out to root for truffles. They weren't the chocolate kind and I said eww :(

I don't think it helps your plants, but I don't think it hurts them. And if you like burying your nail clippings, go crazy! I have lots of idiosyncrasies like that - I peel the paper (not plastic) labels off of bottles and sometimes eat my scabs, for instance.
It makes you happy and it's not hurting anyone. What more can you want in an activity? :D

Poor plant. I suppose that the degradation of the nails should provide some sort of sustenance to the plant. However, one of your best bets might be to use compost.
