I'm as American and as pro-capitalist as they come, but I fucking love the Soviet National Anthem. I keep catching myself humming it everywhere I go and people keep giving me dirty looks (I'm in a very conservative part of the country). My own national anthem is so boring compared to the USSR's. IIN?
Like anybody in the US would recognize the anthem of the USSR.

Are you in fact singing the anthem of the USSR? Because the State Anthem of the Russian Federation is different than the anthem when the Soviets were in power in Russia. After the Soviet government collapsed, Putin eventually reinstated the original anthem music with different lyrics.
Don't forgot its basically the same as the national anthem of the Russian Federation too.
Yes it's normal, some of my friends prefer it too here in the Netherlands, it's simply a work of art.
I think it's normal. At the end of the day' it's just a song. Yes, it stood for something much different 20+ years ago but I don't think any rational person would get offended after hearing it.
