Is it normal that i rest while sitting at a table like this?

When I'm sitting at a table I rest my head on my left hand. I take my hand and put it in a rock hand sign without the index finger, and then I rest my head on it with my pinky touching my lips and my thumb resting under my chin. So my head is really resting on my knuckles, but I add those fingers in. I've been told it looks weird/mentally challenged.

    Following on from that comment, I think it's weird they called you mentally challenged for it... That's never OK.

    I don't understand how this would seem weird or mentally challenged, it seems like a standard way of resting on your hand to me. I think it's weird that someone felt the need to criticize and insult how you rest while sitting at a table.
