Is it normal that i say 'we' or 'us' instead of 'me' or 'i' occasionaly?

Let me start off by saying I don't 'hear voices' or think people are out to get me or anything. Not paranoid or schizophrenic or anything like that. I've just noticed that sometimes when telling stories or talking about things, I'll instead say 'then we went' or 'that's what they told us' as opposed to me or I. Is this normal? OR something I should be worried about or think on?

Are you English? We do that all the time (particularly in the north). If I say "are you kidding us?" I mean "are you kidding me?" It's just the way everyone talks here. If you're not from here, then I don't know. Maybe you've heard someone on TV talking like this?

Yeah, I am English and sometimes I'll say something like "give us a minute" or "give us a break" when I really mean "me" instead of "us"!
      Weird, isn't it?!
Poster, I've never heard anyone substitute "I" for "we" though!

Yeah, I pretty much always say "give us a minute" instead of "me". Actually, it's more like "gi's a minute". Unless I'm writing it. My writing voice is completely different from my speaking voice. I wonder if the Americans and Australians do this too, or whether they're not quite so schizophrenic about it.

I'm in the States and I live in a very diverse city. The English language gets slaughtered here, alot. I'm so used to it now that I don't give it a second thought anymore.
