Is it normal that i scratch/pick/pull at at my dry skin, scalp, eyebrows, nails

I have this really weird habit of picking at my dry skin, my nails, and my scalp. Pretty much anything that will come off my body, i will pick at. I used to scratch the dandruff off my scalp till it would bleed. Now, i still scratch off dry skin or pick at my nails if they're long enough. I also sometimes pull out a few eyebrows/eyelashes. Used to do this more as a kid, but still occasionally now. I also like to make a little pile of whatever i'm picking at. For example, i'll scratch the skin off onto a dark surface so i can see it. Anyway, i didn't know if there was anyone else with this bizarre habit. Thanks!

I've known many people to do this including myself. Scratcing your scalp, forming a small pile on the desk, picking at your nails, pimples, any imperfection or item that will come off your body. Even if it bleeds or hurts, the satisfaction of having it flake off is the best, especially if it forms underneath your fingernails. I believe many people do this.

Well, I'm not sure if it's normal or not, but I have a similar tendency. I pick/pluck at dry skin, eyelashes, and sometimes my eyebrows. I don't recall ever sweeping all the debris into a little pile, though. Have you ever been accused of being a metrosexual? I have, and I think it might actually fit me. Might fit you, too.
