Is it normal that i see long stretch light lines from light source?

When I look on a light bulb, phone, streetbulbs, TV, laptop, or just on light, I see stretch long lines-rays coming from them. This effect gets stronger when I squint eyes ,and it disappears when I open my eyes wider. I think I always seen it, but now it disturbing me. Doctors say that all is normal with my eyes. Is that stretch lines from light normal?

    There are many types of illumination my favourite is the xenon bulb pure full spectrum light or nothing.

    NOTHING beats the original Thomas Edison filament

    It is normal. if you sit in a dim lit room with you computer (which has sharper light then you surroundings) you will sometimes see lines when you take your eyes away from the computer.

    I sometimes see light in strange ways, too. Other people I've mentioned it to didn't seem to think anything of it. I think you'll be all right.
