It's primarily a junk email account but should I just get rid of it? also do you think google is pulling the same crap we just haven't found out about it yet?
Get rid of yahoo. There's speculation that yahoo searches through their users emails for the government. It's an old company that needs to just kick the bucket already. Detach yourself from it
I've had a yahoo email account since the 1990's. It's my main account. My second most used account is Gmail.
Yeah, I have a Yahoo account dating back to 2001. I hardly ever check it any more, use it for site registrations and not much more.
Often when I try to log into my Yahoo mail they get paranoid and throw my security question at me, or lock me out temporarily even though I gave my correct password, or whatever.
It just isn't worth the hassle, and since all the recent stories about Yahoo surfaced I fully expect the next time I try to log in there will be my last. I'll give my correct password, correct security answer, and they'll still be like, "Sorry, we'll never let you back in again."
I use outlook. I go into it and delete everything every few days. I have to have a email for ordering from EBAY or Amazon.
As much as I hate what Yahoo did, closing the email account seems like a somewhat empty gesture when I already don't use it.
If it were my main email I would be seriously bothered though.
I would say Google is fine, but Yahoo was going down for a while now. Its stock price was plummeting and the management of the company is clueless. The CEO is about to get fired and they have had security issues for some time.
