Is it normal that i stop breathing when i see someone on tv under water?

If I see anyone on TV struggling to catch their breath, holding their breath, or under water. I stop breathing and don't even realize I stopped breathing until I need air. Am I the only one who does this?

    Whoa don't watch the little mermaid... You wouldn't survive. And I'm going to go with no on this one..

    it's normal, i always do it, normally to see how long i can hold my breath for in time with the actors and if i would survive or not... I died watching Harry Potter as i had no gillyweed :/

    It would suck if you kept holding your breath and died. So quit that.

      actually if you hold your breath long enough you will pass out and start breathing again
