Is it normal that i suffer from tangled headphone cords all the time

I'm lazy. I could arrange them neatly, but I don't. They get tangled. I put them in a pocket. Result: Tangled. I hang them over the back of a chair. Result: Tangled. I place them upon a notebook on top of a table. Result: Tangled. Maybe there are little elves sneaking out to tangle them up. Yep, elf mischief, that's it.

I didn't write this but it makes sense:

If earphones keep getting tangled and shoelaces keep getting untangled, why don’t we use earphones as shoelaces and shoelaces as earphones?

    Blame the maths.. There's only one way for them to be untangled but an infinite number of ways for them to be tangled. It's the probability elves!

    You definitely have elves! I have them too, theyre constantly hiding my car keys and wallet. Sometimes my phone too. But thats rarely out of my sight long enough for them to get their dirty little hands on it.
