Overpriced and they use too much sugar which is pretty typical for American products. Probably gave a lot of people diabetes.
Ben and Jerry's is like, crappy ice cream van shit. Why they try to pass off those products as more, nobody knows. However white middle class British mums don't care, I mean, the tub looks nice in the fridge!
Only ice-cream I buy lately is some generic brand salted nut bar flavor. Imagine a payday candy bar but icecream. Its fucking amazing and not terribly pricey
Ive never bought it because of the price. It's dumb paying that much for ice cream in my opinion.
I agree, here it’s £5 which is $6.97 and £6 ($8.36) for the vegan version, the price makes it a special occasion ice cream.
You pay for the quality. You can get a gallon bucket of icecream for what 4$? (Region depending)
I was just looking at it the other day, it was $5.69 for a pint and it was on sale. There's a local to me ice cream maker that is about the same price and it's 100% natural and tastes better, but I mean, Ben and Jerry's gotta pay to ship farther and they have fancier packaging and stuff. I personally wouldn't buy Ben and Jerry's because of the better option, plus my grocery store has a higher end store brand that easily competes with Ben and Jerry's and costs way less.
Real products - not things that look and taste similar while made from fake ingredients cost real money.
Why don't you rent a home ice cream making machine and make your own real ice cream (no artificial ingredients - just whole cream, milk, sugar, eggs, flavoring and fruit of your choice.
You will find that it takes a lot more time and effort to make ice cream this way than if you use all kinds of additives.
Been & Jerry's is no longer original ice cream as too few people were willing to pay that. They have some artificial ingredients not natural to real ice cream to lower cost to the point that enough people will buy it; but a lot less than most companies.
It's perfectly nice ice cream but it definitely isn't high quality. They are cheap and cheerful and should price themselves as such. They price themselves as a luxury ice cream and it simply isn't.
Yes, and pretty overrated IMO. I like their selection of flavors, but just don't feel the ice cream itself is that good. It is your typical rock hard, bland store-bought ice cream (and I get you can soften it by leaving it out, but I still don't think it has great flavor). With that being said, I did like the ones with the cores, but mostly just ate the core part, lol.
Yeah it is, but it tastes great. I'm actually fine with the price because it actually keeps me from eating it everyday. XD
