Is it normal that i think communists are hypocrites?

The kind of people who think communism is a great idea are the same kind of people who couldn't survive a day without their iPhones, Starbucks coffee and Playstation console. Three luxuries we certainly wouldn't have in a shithole communist dystopia.

  • I still find it insanely funny when the commie content creators that make a lot of money for their content do a complete 180 and try to justify why the ideology they preach shouldn't apply to them and that they should be able to keep their money and position of power.

    It's just typical bs.

      • My favourite is Vaush. When Stefan and him debated and Stefan outright asked Vaush where the whole "means of production" spiel comes into play with his business and straight away Vaush started making excuses as to why his work is essentially exempt from the very beliefs he holds and expects to be forced onto others. It was the best example of these types of people wanting others to be fucked by the ideology they hold and yet expecting themselves not to be held to the same standard so that they can generate wealth and hold it all for themselves.

Then there's obviously Hasan who is rich as fuck but ofcourse keeps all that wealth to himself.

I think you’re thinking about consumerism.

I bet you'd have problems giving a coherent definition of communism, but you probably believe it's synonymous with socialism and liberalism. That's pretty normal for Americans, since the Republican party has done an excellent job of conflating the three things in the minds of many Americans. The Republicans also put a lot of effort into convincing schmucks like you that any economic system other than dog-eat-dog American capitalism inevitably results in widespread poverty.

That's really ironic, given that the current reality is that the wealthiest 1% of Americans currently possess around 30% of total wealth, and the top 10% of Americans own about 69% of all assets, while the bottom 50% owns around 2% of total assets. The remaining 29% of assets is distributed amongst all those in the 50th to 90th percentiles.

In other words, the top ten percent owns roughly two-thirds of the available wealth, the forty percent of the population just below them owns less than a third of the remaining wealth, and the bottom half of the country owns basically nothing and is struggling to get by on a month to month - or week to week - basis.

I say it's ironic that the political right pushes the BS that this is the best of all possible economic systems, but actually it's a deliberate, constant, cynical effort by those at the top of the shitheap to convince everyone down below (in other words, suckers like you) that nothing should change because that could only result in them becoming even poorer. The truth is that it's all about the wealthy wanting to hold on to everything they have and them being allowed to accumulate even more, since that's how shallow, selfish people define winning at life.

Still, as long as so many dumb Americans continue to believe the lie that anyone can join the one-percenters if they work hard, pray hard and always vote for people who want the current system to continue, the current system will persist.

    • I find it hilarious when people try to preach for communism but wouldn't even consider living in a communist location, or at the very least build their own commune and put their views in to practice but will instead try to force everyone else into communism off of the back of a capitalist system.

Yeah, a minority of people own the majority of wealth, they also generate wealth, my dude, they also bring in jobs which create tax payers. Is it perfect? No but nothing ever is and it's still better than a system that essentially works on the hopes that everyone will pull their weight.

You're also implying that only the "top" disapprove of communism so that they can hold on to their wealth but I sure as shit can assure you that the old folks down your street that own the ol' pa and ma store will have the exact same view that their humble earnings should remain theirs and they should be in control of what happens with their business.

And since your patronizing has pissed me off, I'd like to know something. How much do you donate of your usual earnings? It's all fine and dandy to say everyone should get fucked over for your idealistic view of the future but do *you* live a life where you only pay for the bare minimum that's required to be fit and healthy and then pass the rest off to someone who isn't as fortunate to have such an opportunity? Atleast two full-time workers in support of communism in this feed can change the life of someone in poverty by not buying any luxuries and forfeiting it to those that could use it for necessities but I will bet my left testicle that you don't do that, you won't do that, yet you will still insist that *I* should do that under threat of the government.

So quit with the pretentious shit, you're not better than anyone here just because you think we should all look after the poor while you do nothing to look after the poor.

I don't think you know what communism is.

The problem is communism just hasn't been done right yet. Mao, Stallin, and Castro were greedy self interested capitalists at heart. Me and my friends would do it right.

I don't see why a communist dystopia could not have mentioned amenities or surrogates.. What need of iPhones if there are Androids.. Who needs playstation other than immature teenagers. Who better be guided to a more productive way of passing their tine anyway. Sure, during the Cold war times the West was more successful in terms of innovations but it's advantage for a short historic period of time does not prove a rule. The way it turned out, from the outside it's the USA looking more and more like a shithole and it's not for some non-existent communism but for the lack of human rights, labor regulations, etc.

We have jobs that pay less than a dollar and hour. Look up fishing boat jobs. They advertise like 5k payouts etc but if you look at the max possible wage and do the math towards hours worked your making like .75 cents. Here in the u.s wich is appearantly really great they say

Ive noticed they're usually pretty unsuccessful people. Anytime someone complains constantly about rich people having too much money they are normally getting paid very poorly because they made a lot of mistakes. I grew up with people like this even went out of my way to get one of my friends a job where in 3 years hed be making almost 40 an hour. He didnt even show up the first day. But he kept complaining on facebook about corporations and him not being able to afford a car. He could have made 38 an hour from this corporation I tried to get him on.

I notice this with covid lockdown people. They usually do not own a house and have kids. They have nothing to lose and they dont have to go to work. So they want to stay locked down so they dont have to do anything.

If you can make it if you become fulltime at UPS or USPS it pays 30+ both jobs. Those UPS package car drivers you see make $36 an hour after their 4 year progression. The ones driving the big trucks make $38 an hour after 4 year progression (a lot more than that in Cali and New York). And under the new contract it will be over $40 an hour in 3 years anyway. Its a good union job. If you dont wanna get your CDLs you can just deliver packages there, it's really hard work but you dont need any special license. Package driver is a young persons job.
