...because they are either drunk or high? I'm guilty of that and sometimes mess up my votes because of skimming through the posts rather than actually reading them.
Do you think the votes you get on your stories are accurate?
I think people like you confuse others by asking a question at the end that is different than the IIN question that is the subject of the story. In this you ask if it is normal that you think users vote wrong as the main subject and at the end you ask if others think the votes on their stories are accurate. Which question do you want answered? If you put multiple questions in your post then it is kinda unclear.
Exactly my point! I sometimes answer the title question and afterwards realize there's another one!
I usually assume it's the title question and vote for that one!
That's how it should work and that's why there are comments so you can better explain your point which is a lot better than just voting whether or not something is normal or not. For example I didn't vote whether your view was normal or not, but instead left a comment saying what I thought about it.
Also, I always assume half of the questions are asked by drunk or high users, hence the multiplicity - if that is even a word - of the posts!
I'm assuming you are talking about multiplicity in the sense of multiple questions in a post, then that's the voters' error not the poster of the question as the site is set up so that the question that should be voted on should be the part that shows up on the main page and the rest of the post being used to describe the actual circumstances and other worries on the subject.
I was about to agree with you, but then you said "because they are either drunk or high". I don't think people vote improperly because they're impaired, I think they vote improperly because:
a. they have a weird definition of "Normal".
b. they read the question wrong/the question was written badly.
c. they're answering a separate question posed in the body of the thread post, like you did here.
d. they agree/disagree with the poster and think that influences whether or not what the poster did is "Normal".
e. they're weird, or...
f. they are all of the above.
I think most of the people here are totally sober, they're just weird, strange, abnormal, atypical, bizarre, and freakish. There aren't enough words in the thesaurus to explain the mystifying, perplexing, and anomalous people that make up the uncanny valley that is this website.
That said, I think most of the results are pretty accurate, yeah.

As well as the problems caused by poorly worded questions and how the headline often conflicts with the final question, there's another problem you see on every internet site with anonymous users: trollish behaviour.
If someone posted a question saying that he wanted to kill his mother by sawing off her head with a hacksaw just so he could whack off using the smelly bunny slippers she wears all the time, it's guaranteed that he would get some "Normal" votes. I prefer to believe that's a form of trolling. The alternative - that people truly do vote honestly for every question - is possible, but extremely depressing.
I'm usually drunk or high but all my votes here are 100% genuine. this is a respectable website and people should keep things proffesional.

It is hard to vote based on some poor grammar and sentence structure.
It gets scrabbled to the point you're not sure if a yes vote is agreeing or disagreeing with the
IIN part.
I've gotten some good help on here. I hope my posts had accurate votes, but I guess the written feedback has been most helpful.
