I constantly believe that when I die I will go to hell or be hated in heaven and I don't even know why. I'm an atheist, so I'm not religious or anything but I'm scared of dying because I think I will be hated wherever I go or whatever happens to me.. IIN?
Since neither place exists, you have nothing to worry about. When you die there is nothing more; nothing at all.
No one to love you, no one to hate you; no awareness of any kind.
There is no punishment for being bad (who would be the judge?) no reward for being good (again, who would be the judge?). So if you have wasted this life expecting something better after death, you lose. I suggest you make this one guaranteed life count.

I can only add that inevitably when this world blows up (either by the other galaxy heading towards us, or our sun exploding, or by our world itself being hit by some huge meteor) then eventually all our dust (particles) will be spread across the universe as stardust again.
I read, somewhere, a long time ago the above in a very poetic way (wish I could find it) reading it said everything above (what you wrote and I added) in such a beautiful way it should have been divine scripture :D
You can still make the most of this life, and still believe there is heaven and hell.......... Just because you believe there is heaven and hell doesn't mean you waste this life.. yes heaven is better than this life, but you can still have a good life.
But think about this...... Hell is worse than this anything in this life and it's for ETERNITY! Just this thought should make us want to endure anything in this lifetime on this earth, which is only a blink of an eye compared to eternity!
However, in God's Kingdom you have peace in this life, and the eternal life to come. The best thing you could ever have. It's the best of both worlds.
You know what would be worse than anything in this life to me?
Going to your heaven! No sex, no drugs, no rock n roll, just being bored out of my skull for all eternity, sitting on a pink cloud playing the harp. Now that's certainly my definition of hell!

Fora good laugh, find him on youtube doing his hilarious take on islam, eg: the suicide bomb instructor: "Now boys I'm only going to show you this once" and "What are they going to do with all those virgins in heaven when they've turned themselves into flying mince?"
Well you don't have to be worried about being hated in heaven. Only those who God loves will be in heaven. So heaven only has love.
However, yes hell is filled with hate/ anger/ regret/ etc.
As long as you do good in life, you won't end up in a bad spot. May it be hell, neverending purgatory, or a afterlife. It could be nothingness or a new life all together.
Well... its my belief that there is no hate in heaven. Otherwise it wouldnt be any better then earth lol.
But if your not religiouse tgen you dont believe in ethers existence so...
You can be a tree! And then maybe get turned iinto paper and end up as some peice of beautiful artwork?
