I can't stop loving cheese-based Italian foods. Also, I can't even fathom how lame life would be without pizza or lasagna. Glad they're easy to find in my country.
Italian is my favorite as well! Pasta is probably my favorite food of all time and I absolutely love trying new pasta recipes, as well as making a delicious homemade pizza with my homemade marinara, halved cherry tomatoes or tomato slices, chopped basil, and freshly grated parmesan. 😋 My take on a delicious Margherita pizza!
I love the simplicity of many Italian dishes, especially with the use of fresh ingredients. The flavors are so bright and fresh tasting!
I do love good German and Mexican food as well, but nothing beats Italian in my opinion!
i useda cook in a fancy italian joint as a teen
i took some knowledge with me but what i was doin was more assembly line and timing than high culinary art
the prep guy who came in overnight and set us up was the true wop chef supreme
It's normal, but I personally find it a little overrated tbh. The variety is a bit lacking.
Meatballs are also associated with my country. Maybe even more, actually. The correct way to eat them is with cream sauce ( brown-sauce also works, but I recommend cream ), mashed potatoes, lingonberry jam, and pickles. They also work really well in sandwiches. They serve this at IKEA stores, but homemade is a shit-ton better. You want the mashed potatoes to be really fine too, so I recommend using a potato-ricer, and also a bit of cream on it. The meat should be approximately 30% minced pork, 70% minced beef.
