I can't stand that band. They thought they were cool, but in fact, they were uncool morons making cheesy gay-music, plagiarizing far cooler bands without adding anything to the table. Basically the 80s equivalent to Nickelback.
The decline of hair metal was one of the greatest blessings of the grunge movement of the 1990s.
I liked Take Me to the Top, but otherwise just feel meh about them.
The one band that seems to be really popular from that era that I could never get into is Aerosmith, however. I also could never get into Guns 'N Roses (seriously, Axl Rose sounds like the kid from South Park to me).
But I think the Nickelback of the '80s might be Bon Jovi or Whitesnake or something like that, lol.
Ironically, I learned that the glam rock style of the '80s was sometimes referred to as butt rock (but more commonly cock rock), however I have always known bands like Nickelback, Three Doors Down, Puddle of Mudd, etc. to be "butt rock" and have always referred to them as that. I honestly do not miss the 2000's butt rock at all and do not look forward to the day it becomes a "nostalgia" trend!
