Is it normal that i used to bully bieber fangirls in middle-school?

I can clearly remember back in middle-school, how I constantly used to bash the girls in my class for listening to Justin Bieber, and boast over how much cooler my taste in music was than theirs. Why did I do this? Because I found their obsessive behavior fucking irritating, that's why.

I remember in the old 2010 days, when I was in school people in my school were ridiculed if someone liked Justin Bieber.

    • Yeah, same in my school. I was one of those that ridiculed them.

Everyone did this in middle school. It'd only be weird if you never grew out of it

    • Now I bully people for listening to Mumble rap instead.

I used to bully people for liking Kpop. If stan culture was as bad then as it is now though I probably wouldn't have ever stopped

A "stan" is basically an obsessive fan of something (usually a music group). I pretty much exclusively hear the term used to describe Kpop fans.

I don't know where the term came from though

            • The term came partly from the song by Eminem "Dear Stan" about a very obsessive fan. and partly from "I stan (Stan, =stand) this group/artist"

I've only seen that being applied to youtubers now.

In my school nobody bullied girls, but if a boy liked justin beaver, he was done for...

I kinda bullied a guy in my class in 11th and 12th grade who liked bieber songs and lots of girly stuff. I'm not proud of acting like an absolute tool now, but a fat kid to jock transformation kinda turbocharges your ego.
Guy was gay, forgave me for the things I did and considers me a friend, cause the way I treated him was nowhere near as bad as how some of my other classmates treated him.
Now we are friends. Can't believe I'm gonna say this, but he was the bigger man in this situation.

With that said tho... bieber still sucks.

My input is the bullying sucks no matter what the reason

Lots of tweens and teens are ignorant, opinionated asshats completely lacking in social skills and insight, so congratulations on conforming to the norm, bro.

The fact that you still mock others for their tastes in music suggests that you really haven't grown up yet. If and when you do, you'll realise that it really doesn't matter.

I hated the Biebs back in 2009 when he burst onto the scene and everyone’s iPod touches at school. I still think he’s untalented trash because he is, but I don’t actively seek out terrible musicians to sneer at their music and mock their fans.

I still hate him with a passion mainly because he had done disrespectful stuff to his fans.

Its funny how many people seek out the things they hate just to talk about it.
