Is it normal that i wake up to charge my phone at night?

Whenever I forget to plug my phone in at night, whether it be because I passed out before I could or I simply thought I had, I seem to wake up randomly at night and plug it in. Never have I woken up to my phone being dead without having enough time to charge it before class. Is it normal that I am so synced to my phone?
