Is it normal that i want another dog?

2 days ago my dog started throwing up and wouldn't stop. She threw up about 26 times so we took her to the Vet ER. Once we got there her body collapsed and she just gave up. Well she got worse and we had to put her down. I was there when the vet injected her. I held her head so hard. I'm very upset, but I could go out right now and get another dog. NOT to replace my dog. But just to have happiness. It was very weird going home and not having her there. I'm so heartbroken and no dog will ever replace her. Is it normal that I could just get up right now and get a dog?

    I think you should take time to grieve the loss of this dog and get another dog when you feel better.
