Is it normal that i want to fill in all the waffle squares before eating a waffle?

It's just not satisfying if I don't. I want the syrup flavor to be soaked into all parts of the waffle. Plus these are little pockets of flavor waiting, totally ready to be made. I don't simply dump it on willy-nilly until everything is covered. I'll pour on syrup, but then I'll fill in individual squares with care. I want to believe there are other people like this because it's just so satisfying for me, and someone out there needs to understand.

Little food-eating habits like this are pretty normal imo. I feel like there's a similar mentality in people who have to eat all of their sides first before moving on to the actual main thing, or people who eat the entire circumference of a burger before getting to the middle

    • Bruh those people are weird. When I was a kid we'd call it magic bites when you get like mashed potatoes and corn together

Nowadays I combine like tomatoes and mozzarella >:3

That's literally me. I will not eat my waffle if there's an empty hole

    • Uh. The first result for that on Google is quite questionable. Is there another meaning I should know about?

I never thought about it but I'd think it's normal. I think I do that too without thinking

It’s a food ritual, and many people have them. Here are 2 of mine: for a holiday meal, Thanksgiving, my plate must be arranged picture perfect, with no food overlapping or hanging over the edge, before I start to eat; when we go it to eat and the have a salad bar, I arrange my salad taking into account color and shape, before I’ll eat it.
