Is it normal that i want to watch evil dead 2 but i am afraid?

I want to watch this movie but I after watching it for a few minutes I become afraid and see some cartoons or so. I am very old , like 28, but I still afraid of this movie series. I also deleted this movie from my HDD because I think it is somewhat ominous. IIN?
