Is it normal that mallards commit gang rape?

No seriously, there is a pond close to where I live where like, I dunno, 100 mallards live, and I frequently see male mallards gang-rape females, and they do it violently, sometimes killing the females. It's pretty fucked-up.

      I think humans should adopt more animal traits in our behaviors. For example, if you're a man who marries a woman who already has a kid, you should devour the child to cause your woman to begin ovulating so you can make sure they're all your kids

    Yeah that's very common behavior for ducks. So much so that their biology evolved to protect against duck rape. They have corkscrew penises and corkscrew vaginias. Forcefully trying to "pick" that lock is way harder when said lock is unwilling. While chosen partners it's easy enough to work your way through it when willing.
