Is it normal that my 21year old declawed cat can still climb trees?

my cat seems to be a real oddball. Hes a male calico, hes almost twenty, and has no claws. Yet, he can still climb trees. Is it normal for an old declawed cat to still be able to climb trees?

what really surprises me about this story is how old your cat is. i have an 11 year old cat, and she's pretty healthy for her age. she could easily live a few more years.

  • btw, i didnt declaw him when i found him, he was already declawed and neutered. None of my other pets are even neutered. I have to agree, i dont like that they declawed him either.

  • Not judging you personally or anything but I think de-clawing cats is very cruel. Just wanted to add that...

But anyway, I'm not sure how it would climb without them :\
