Is it normal that my 13 year old sister has a romantic and sexual crush on me?

Okay, so the other night my 13 year old sister came into my room saying she had a nightmare. (this was around like 230 a.m. so I was just going to bed.)after she calmed down she asked how do you know if you like someone, whats it like to be in love, what does "it" feel like, ect. ect. . I half answered and half brushed off her questions. then she asked if she could spend the night in my room, i didnt care so i let her, so as im trying to fall asleep she sais "I love you" to me and i say it back, since of course i love my little sister. but then she said, "in a way i probably shouldnt..." i didnt know how to respond so i just ignored it and told her to go to sleep, which i did, when i woke up about 2 hours later, she was rubbing my crotch and her own, i pushe her away and told her to go to her own room. so there is the story, is it normal for her to be acting/feeling this way?

    I think it's normal for young girls to sort of idolize their older brother, if he is a nice guy and treats them right.

    Hormonal changes in the body during puberty and adolescence affect everybody differently, so it was probably pretty normal for her, at 13, to feel that way about you.

    I don't think it was normal for you to respond to her rubbing her crotch against yours in the way that you did. I think you demonstrated a great deal of self restraint and love for your sister by sending her back to her room. I think a "normal" brother under similar circumstances would take unfair advantage of their little sister's moment of weakness.

    I think it's important that you don't make her feel bad because of this experience, and don't tell anybody.

    Don't let her in your bed anymore, but otherwise treat her like you always have. Be the big brother that she loves, and can trust to have her best interest at heart.

    Hm.
    That's a pretty tough one to answer.
    As she is 13, she would have just started to go through puberty, right? So that means that a lot of hormonal changes have started to take place in her body. So of course she's going to start feeling attracted to people. Maybe she just needed somebody to let her feelings out on. I know that I was a pretty horny teenager when I was 13.
    I personally see no problem with brother/sister incest. But then again I can see some arguments against it.
    I think that what you did was the right thing. My advice to you now is:
    1. Don't tell your parents about what happened. They would probably react badly to it.
    2. Just pretend it never happened. That way you won't embarrass her or yourself.
    3. Don't let her sleep in your room again. She might try to go further.
    4. Just be the big brother you've always been. Maybe you should explain to her that a lot of people think incest is wrong.

    Well ok you are getting a lot of trolls on this story. I am not sure how to begin to answer this but I will try. I would explain to her that you are family and that family does not love each other in that way.

    Tell her you will always love and take care of her as your sister but you will never have her as a lover. Tell her if she really loves you she will understand this and know that you do not want her touching you in that manner.

    This is difficult to answer since its not just incest but its incest with a child at such a young age. Hope this helps. Dont tell your mother and father they would just shame her as parents like to do.

    Maybe your sister has been molested by someone or knows someone who's being molested by someone in her or his family and being led to believe that incest is normal. Tell your sister that incest is sinful and deeply wrong and tell your parents what she did. Also it would probably be a good idea to put a lock on your door and keep her at a distance.

      I was just thinking this too. Ask her if she's had sexual experiences with other people or family members. Also, I'd be weary of telling the parents, they tend to over react to these sort of things. Or very worst case scenario, she could have been abused by the father which is why she thinks this is ok. I would encourage her to talk to a counselor about it either way.

        I shudder to think. When it comes to stuff like that a dear friend of mine and I always just look at each other and say, "there but for the grace of God go I." It's funny because my friend's actually an agnostic but it speaks to how horrendous such acts of child abuse are.

        I'm with you about talking to the school counselor first.

    Now if it's a step sister - technically not your family, so then it's ok.

    It depends on how old you are really. DO NOT have sex and calmly explain that she can't touch you like that. Still let her in your bed and let her 'cuddle'[not intimately] with you, if you will, but don't lead her on. DO NOT TELL YOUR PARENTS!!! Best of luck!

    It is normal for people to have feelings like that. I believe that it happened and you did the right thing. You should try to find out if she has been or is being abused by someone. There could be more behind this than meets the eye.

    If it happens again, take it slow, and don't reject her. Let her stay in bed with you. You don't have to have sex... unless you want to. It sounds like she is wanting to experiment; and why not with her brother. My advice, be a good brother, and be her experiment. She trusts you, loves you, and you won't hurt her because you love her.
