Is it normal that my cat gets sick of her food quickly?

I adopted a ~9 year old female cat in July. At first, she ate anything I put in front of her for several weeks. Then, she gradually began rejecting all of the high-quality wet and dry foods I offered her until she hardly ate anything. The vet couldn't find anything wrong with her, so she gave me some Sheba brand wet food to try. She's eating it, but, like all the other foods, she's gradually disliking it. My vet and I have come to the conclusion that she's just weirdly picky, but neither of us has ever heard of something quite like this before. Do you think she's just an asshole or we just haven't found the problem yet?

I know you mentioned bringing her to the vet, so I just wanted to ask if you'd had any xrays on her?

IsItNormal has branched out and become a pet care forum now it seems.

Every living animal could be picky

In my experience it's normal for both cats and dogs to do this. She's not an arsehole. How would you like to eat the same thing every day? Mix it up a bit and consider giving her some home made meals as well. I make and freeze a lot of food for my dog.

Very normal for cats to be picky eaters.

Don't call her an asshole. Each cat is different. You got one that seems to be a picky eater. Try Organix on her. That's what my cat eats and she loves it.

My cat does this on and off with his wet food. Somedays he wont bother with it or only eat very little of the wet. Lately, hes been eating a lot of his dry food. Ive wasted many cans. He wont eat other brands of wet except Wellness sliced wet food (he wont eat the cubed or minced, must be the sliced even tho its all the same!) and Friskys but I dont buy friskys anymore bc Wellness brand has better ingredients.

I'd imagine if she gets hungry enough she'll start eating whatever you put in front of her. My cat would only eat the cheapest WalMart cat food, but her absolute favorite thing was canned tuna fish.
