Is it normal that my drawing is so bad i cryed

Ok, well first off I am a brony and I keep seeing these amazing or even really nice and I tryed to draw an oc (off camera) for myself...it didn't go so well but I was fine because I had no idea of what I was doing, but then I looked up a guide, I then tried for an hour to draw a simple fucking head, it pissed me off so much that I slammed my head on the desk and I paused for a moment and then tears of sadness started and, the rest is obvious. I only got one attempt slightly good but... its very distressing.

No one is born perfect at anything, you have to invest your time into it to make it great. They say it takes someone 10,000 hours to master something, so don't sweat it. And stress can cause anyone to cry if there is enough of it, it's normal.

Thanks, I guess that is true.

If you see zero improvement in your work, you may want to consider switching mediums. There are many people, like myself, who can't draw and end up switching to a medium like painting.

True but I think I have seen a slow short little tiny improvement.

Just keep trying even if it's complete shit. I know the feeling. I tend to put aside an hour everyday for just scribbling and, even though I started off awful, after 5 years I'm getting better.

Try try try. If you try and keep practicing, you WILL get better! I mean I use to draw really shitty anime. (still do) If you compare my work from now and back then though, you can see improvement in the anatomy. Just keep at it! You will only grow stronger at your drawing!

Its a myth that people are born talented and good at drawing. That's only for child geniuses. Us normal people have to work hard and suffer over a significant period of time to ever reach a level of greatness. I've been drawing for years and I'm only starting to reach acceptable quality.

Also getting stressed out and occasionally bursting into tears is something artists of all levels experience lol, it doesn't ever really go away. You just have to acknowledge that you're doing the best you can for now. There's nothing you can do except continue and believe that you can improve, and you will. :)

Yes. You should be crying. Your drawings suck.

Just watch more MLP, fellow Brony (Not that I'm a Brony, I'm a Pegasister)... Try to understand the form of a pony... (Now that I just said that, I feel stupid.)

But just try to practice and use proper reference. Um... Also, you could go on somewhere, like DragoArt, for drawing tutorials instead of watching the videos where the hand is blocking the light and picture.

Don't give up! Drawing is meant to take lot of time and patience, I sometimes spend over an hour on one little eye to get it perfect.

If you're new to drawing then you won't be as good as the famous people onYouTube/ Deviant Art straight away, it took them years to get to their level of skill and it's fine if you take just as long.

My advice would be to select a simple guide to copy and before you start spend a while looking closely at the shape of the head, the scale of the different parts of it in relation to each other and where they fit together.

    Good luck.
