Iin? that my family overreacts of me watching paranormal things?

Ok so I love watching movies & shows about the paranormal but I cant watch them when my parents are around because they start to yell at me & freak out. 1 time I got bitched at because I checked out books from the library about ghosts & spirits my mom made me return them the next day -_- . She thinks im opening doors by watching a tv show/movie lmfao & reading a book?? Is that even possible? I mean playing with a ouija board or messing with witchcraft having no clue what your dealing with yeah I understand your opening a door to the unknown there but a show? uhm no! There was this incident 6 years ago where we(siblings & friend)were really really really close to playing the ouija board we found at the abandoned house on the next street . We had NO CLUE what it was because we've never heard of it before . So we take it , our dad sees it & makes us take it back we were like D:< because we thought it was a cool game till my mom explains that it was very bad "you're talking to the devil" "you're opening doors to something you dont know about" "nothing good ever comes out of that" "there's no such things as good spirits those are demons you're talking to". So there we were scared shitless lol that day! but yeah IIN?

    Yeah, a book or a movie is ok, but don't play with an ouija board. Generally don't play with that shit. It can get downright creepy regardless whether it's real or not

    I agree wit it's_all_too_much. I can understand where your parents are coming from,they want to keep you safe. But if you like to read and watch movies about spirits, then go ahead. I am going to move on with one last thing, if you play the Ouija board, just be careful who you contact. The Ouija board can be dangerous.

    Some people will overreact about things like that. There's no harm in watching a tv show, or reading about it. Some people believe spirits are demons, etc, but I personally think that's a little presumptuous.

    If you're interested in spirits, I'll just say from my experience that they're not all bad. I've used a ouija board with my best friend and siblings many, many times in my life. I will admit there were a couple of times that were scary. But if you know when to stop- if things start to feel scary, or feel like you're getting any bad vibes from the spirits- that's probably when you want to stop. It's also a good idea to cleanse the board after (just wipe down with a cloth to signify that you're finished for the time being). Maybe burn some sage if you're into that, but it's not necessary of course. There are many ways to do it while being careful. In some ways, the spirits can guide or give knowledge.

    Don't let the overreacting get the better of you. Your open mind can be a good thing! :)

        i suggest you dont, any way many peole fear what they can not understand. so they act this way when ever the idea come around. and also do not belive that there is more out there than what they can see in front of them, if you do delve into it be carfull because you dont want to have any accidents in relasing something negitive, and doesnt your mom know that alot of the events on those show are dramatized for tv and are based on true things that occured as far as i know at least.

    You may not be spiritually opening up doors. But you are opening up yourself to it. I would leave it all behind. I didn't ask to be spiritually attacked but I was. You may not believe half the things I say but these two worlds should not mix. I regret ever tampering with it.

      They dont need us to want to see them, they appear whenever they want and to whom ever they want (especially to attractive people). This pisses me, cause these demons think of us as low creatures, yet its us they come to violet (yes they can have sex with you, both men and women). You are most vulnerable from them at night. One simple solution is to sleep with the light on, and they will not appear as they dread the light. But, even then they could still visit your dreams!

        Tell me about it. I was haunted by one in particular so badly that I wanted to die because it was robbing me of all joy. I started ignoring it and trying to bring more love into my life and strengthen my relationship with God and I felt the room clear, was never bothered by that one again. I don't believe in using any sort of witchcraft (salt, sun, light, olive oil) you can bless thngs and stuff but I believe the one thing these things cant stand the most is love, it is strongest force, and a positive one at that. Best thing to do is ignore them and sow good seeds, do good things. Not for yourself, but for the sake of bringing good this world, where this is so much hate and evil.
