Is it normal that my friend thinks the united states should be abolished?

He claims the region would be better-off if the federal government was just abolished, and the states converted into independent countries. This would solve a lot of the disagreements between states, and it would strengthen democracy with the increased self-governance. The states could effectively do whatever they wanted.

We should abolish the CIA and other intelligence organizations and make new organization where the people are elected and make classifying documents illegal unless they prove to a jury that its actually a threat to national security and not just something theyre hiding because its fucked up

Most of the classified documents are classified because they're hiding their crimes against the constitution. If you actually look into declassified documents like project northwoods, project mockingbird and others it will absolutely shock you what they have done. Our media will never report on the crimes because well... project mockingbird.

Nope. Not even as a libertarian will I say we go that far.

We need the federal goverment, we just dont need it to the levels of it big bothering states in their own affairs.

We are by definition a federation. Longest functioning one at that. We act as a single country when in fact we are 50 seperate states that work together for the benefit of all. That being said New York should have zero say in what Wyoming does with it's natural resources and Visa versa. The senate system is fair and the electoral college system is fair. Given that all states work in tandem to keep the country functioning thus gets to have a voice in how it is govern.

I sure as shit do not support national "divorce" that's just a more fruity way of saying civil war at that point. Only reason why states want to succeed from the union is because they feel like they arent being appreciated or respected as they should be.

I DO support having states change their borders to better reflect individual counties values. I also support creating new states from bigger states.

Not Puerto Rico's nor DC. With the former being a commonwealth and the latter being a practically a city state that is inappropriate with the fact that it's the capital city of said union.

Oh man. It's funny, even though we've been a connected country for so long, I can easily imagine wars happening if each state was on its own. We would basically turn into Europe.

Jeeves: Foreign travel often liberates emotions best kept in check, sir, and the air of North America is notoriously stimulating in this regard, as witness the regrettable behaviour of its inhabitants in 1776.

Bertie Wooster: What happened in 1776, Jeeves?

Jeeves: I prefer not to dwell on it if it's convenient to you, sir.

History began on July 4th 1776

All that before it was a mistake.

      • From a global standpoint, I'd argue the French revolution was more significant.

When you get a chance I recommend you go on youtube and search for

"Programming America to Accept and Receive the Mark of the Beast | Episode #1112 | Perry Stone"

Im not very religious but its pretty good. He explains how when the bible was written revelation did not make sense to any generation until now. Revelation only makes sense in the day and age where we have nukes, airplanes, smartphones, and the internet. He goes through all the versus and he makes great points.
