Is it normal that my friend wants me to "simp" over her boyfriend?

She would send me pictures of him and talk about how hot he is. She would then encorage me to do the same, saying stuff like "it's okay you can simp for my boyfriend" and "isn't he hot?". I will acknowledge that he's kinda cute. But I would never straight up drool over my friend's boyfriend! It feels unethical. Is this a normal thing people do with their friends? Or is this some kinda trick/test I may not know of?

Sounds like she wants you to admire and possibly be jealous of her boyfriend. It could be a test as well. Just tell her yeah he's cute and then let it go, if she keeps insisting you "simp" then tell her it makes you uncomfortable.
