My girlfriend told me that she used to be in a relationship with 3 guys at the same time, and they were okay with it because they were close friends. One of them was 40 years old, she is 21 right now. I find this totally absurd tbh.

    That could be really hot, if the guys weren't jealous of eachother and each provided something for the relationship. There was a movie like this with Blake Lively where she had a healthy love triangle with two different men who were best friends.

    It sounds like a poly relationship and although I dont think those are valid they are normal and certain people with commitment issues love to have them. Best of both worlds pretty much.
    The age difference is pretty gross though. I hope she was above 18 at the time (even though being 18 is still basically being a kid so it's still gross) and that she didn't get taken advantage of though she probably did in some way which is sad.
    You should ask her why and how she ended up in that relationship.

    She might have some type of cuckoldry fetish. It kind of is a redflag to me. Id definitely wait extra long before moving in with her especially marrying her if I knew that. She might really be a freak in bed tho. Could go both ways. she might ask you to do submissice shit

    It's a lot more common than you think. If I recall from my studies on human sexuality years ago something like 15-20% of people experiment with multiple partners at some point in their lives. About 7.5% continue with multiple partners for much of their lives in open and known by all partners relationships.

    On top of that is the people who cheat without telling their other partner; for a variety of reasons.

      But he was in his fourties, she is only 21, and probably 19 at the point where she was in the relationship.

        Totally normal.

        Many Ladies under 40 or so prefer older men if they are not looking for marriage. Older men tend to treat them better in many ways.
