Is it normal that my hands are always shaking?

I really don't know why this happens, but my hands always shake. I can never keep them totally still. It doesn't affect in anything like writing or drawing, but I'm the only one I know having this.
Is it normal?
Also, tell in the comments what might affect this, because I really don't know

    • I'm pretty stressed, but my hands are always like that, even though I would be having the best time of my life

Im 22 and I've had a really weird anxiety induced hand tremor since I was around 15. Still haven't really worked out how to fix it, but not consuming caffeine, nicotine or stimulants is a place to start.

My mom used to work for a slightly old man with shaky hands, weed fixed it and gave him no side affects/effects (Sorry still trying to memorize the difference between the two)

It can be a number of things. See a doctor.

How much coffee do you drink? Caffeine is known to cause tremors.

Are you on any other medication? Many families of drugs cause resting tremor.

Obviously, there are serious, chronic diseases which also cause resting tremor. You could freak yourself out by Googling these and self-diagnosing, but it would be more sensible to see a doctor for a real diagnosis.

You'd need to check your brand of drink for caffeine levels, but a couple minutes with Google leads me to believe a can of Red Bull has about 80 milligrams of caffeine. The amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee varies widely, but 80 mg is apparently also typical for a normal cup of run of the mill coffee.

If you're guzzling Red Bull all day, you might try cutting back and seeing if that makes a difference to your tremor. Be prepared to feel at least vaguely shitty though. Caffeine isn't considered actually addictive, but reducing the level of it in your bloodstream that you've become accustomed to can leave you feeling sorta deflated.

The first thing I'd ask is..Do you drink a lot? That's not being rude, just a question. Many people who drink too much get the shakes, but it doesn't effect their daily lives.

If not drinking, it could be anxiety or nerves. Try relaxing, exercising, or sitting down and reading a book. Anything to calm you down. Take a trail walk or hike, get outside for a bit. Often times, when we're trapped inside too long, our bodies start to react. Excess, nervous energy has to come out somehow.

Also, it could be dietary. Write down what you usually eat, and look up effects on your body, and mind. There are tons of websites out there to help.

    • Yeah, I suppose I could relax a bit more, not sure if it would help but I think I'll give it a try anyway.
Also, I'm kinda scared to look info from websites.
Literally, if you are trying to find the reason your head hurts a bit, some websites might say shit like "yea you have aids"

No matter what relaxes you, do it. Taking a long walk or hike, shopping, watching one of those "it's so bad, but I have to watch it" movies, maybe taking a tub soak..Anything that works for you, do it.

Good friend of mine is like that with medical websites. She'll go from my arm hurts to, in her pretty head, having nine types of space alien cancer, her arm is going to fall off and choke her at night, a sore arm is a sign of blindness, which will lead to losing her skin. I like her and she's professional otherwise, but don't get her researching medical sites. She sneezed one time, then said "I think I have SARS"..
