Is it normal that my pinky feels super numb?

I have noticed for the past 2-4 years I have experienced numbness on both my left and right pinky and I can move four of my fingers but I can't seem to move my pinky part of my hand. I find it hard to type, hard to write and hard to do things by hand.

I don't know if you have experienced it for long as I have, I know I feel comfortable to be talking to most of you about this. Is experiencing this any normal news to you? Or am I being abnormal asking this?

I suppose most of us have heard of carpal tunnel syndrome, but there's also something called cubital tunnel syndrome. Both are forms of RSI.

The following shamelessly cut 'n' pasted from ada.com:

Cubital tunnel syndrome is a form of repetitive strain injury where the ulnar nerve, which travels from the neck to the hand, becomes compressed or irritated at the elbow. Numbness and tingling in the hand and fingers, particularly in the ring and little fingers, can result.

Repeatedly stretching or bending the elbow, or keeping the elbow bent for long periods of time, can cause the ulnar nerve to become compressed. People who regularly sleep on their elbow, for example, are more likely to be affected by cubital tunnel syndrome.

Hey man that's better than getting your sources from web md. Itll probably say that the OP is having mini strokes.

You're right, but to add to that neuropathy can also be caused by a few other things. Diabetes, alcoholism.

Go to the fucking dr, OP. Seriously, a limp flappy hand is serious

Thanks for the answer and to OP for asking the question.
