Is it normal that my rabbit is really skinny?

I've had my rabbit for 10 years and he used to be a overweight bun but how he's just skin and bones. i can feel his spin and he practically feels like a feather in my hand.
his appetites is still healthy. in fact, he's less of a food snob now then he was in in younger years. he's always ready to eat just about anything you give him. I keep food and hay in his cage at all times. do you think the weight problem is just from old age?

he also still acts like a young bun. running around, humping the cat, getting into trouble. the only thing that's wrong with him right now is his weight and vision (loss of vision due to age)

He's probably just old, but it might be worth a trip to the vet. One of my cats lost a lot of weight when she got older and it turned out to be a kidney problem.

It sounds like you take good care of your bunny...that's sweet : )

that's what happened to my cat too :(
he seemed of normal health otherwise, would eat normally etc, but he was about 1/3rd of his usual weight at the end

to the op I also have a rabbit that's about 10 years old but she has always been skinny, if anything now she's finally gained a little weight, still bony on the back though, which seems normal considering the age (think of 80 year old human) but yeah kidney problems are something to watch out for in elderly rabbits just like cats

"...running around humping the cat." Hahaha, my sister had a rabbit who would run in circles around our dog, jump high into the air, thump his feet and then spray her. He once sprayed me while I was on my period from three feet away, but then again he also sprayed my Colombian redneck grandpa while he was working in the garden. Apparently male rabbits seek to make everyone their bitches.

Try takeing him to the vet about that...
And I think he should have a bit more weight considering that rabbits tend to be chubby
