Is it normal that my stomach feels empty while i'm losing weight?

I'm a 21 year old female who is trying to lose weight. This is definitely not the first time I have tried to lose weight. I get the same feeling every time I'm in the process of losing weight though. It's just that my stomach feels empty a lot. Although this has happened when I have eaten very little in order to lose weight, this time I'm not even remotely starving myself. Actually, this empty stomach feeling happens to me even if I fill up with plenty of fruits and vegetables. If it helps at all, I have taken up jogging a few days ago.

  • Yes it’s normal. Everyone’s stomach (the internal organ) is a certain size. You’ve changed your eating habits and your stomach still wants to be filled with whatever it was used to. Drink water to help that feeling subside and it will eventually pass as your stomach gets smaller and your body/brain adapt to the new diet and foods you’re eating.
    BTW - starvation diets always fail. Make sure you are on a sensible, healthy, long-term diet. Staying active will certainly help. Losing a pound a week is a good attainable goal.

      Well that was kind of rude, but not actually in a bad way. What you said actually makes sense. If I ate properly from the beginning, even if it meant feeling like my stomach is empty no matter how much or how little I eat, then I would not be trying to lose weight right now. So if I only ate the proper foods and the proper amount of food that is necessary, then a growling stomach would actually be my key to being slim.
