Is it normal that my teacher used to say that she loved me?

I was sorting through my childhood things with my mother (like artwork and old tests and stuff) and I found a whole stack of cards and notes from one of my teachers in pre-k (I don't know if it has other names but it's like a class you go to but it's when you're three or four. So a year before kindergarten). All of the notes and cards said 'I love you' on them, some of them going into more detail, saying I would always have a place in her heart, or that I was such a special girl, etc. I've never had any other teacher do that. Is this normal?
