Is it normal that my vagina randomly gets red?

Last night, I noticed that my vagina looked red when I spread my labia open, but it was not hurting or itching at all. I was just in the bathroom when I noticed this. I have noticed my vulva turn red after a warm shower, but maybe that is just because the warmth promotes blood circulation throughout the entire body. When it happens randomly though, like it did last night, I am always clueless as to why it happens. I was not aroused when I noticed it last night. However, could it have anything to do with being horny earlier in the day?

    That's a normal color for that area. Depending on normal conditions it can change between different shades of red - pink to beet red. With no irritation, sore looking areas or inflammation, you're probably fine. But, having your ob/gyn have a look is always a good idea if you have any questions at all.
