I had absolutely no idea until now that this is actually a thing. Fucking hell, why the hell would you do that? Ribs are there to protect your vital organs! Fucking disgusting and barbaric! This is the kind of stuff that makes me lose hope in humanity.

There are some medical reasons why someone would legitimately need a rib removed, so I'm not surprised that it exists. To use it as a cosmetic surgery is especially stupid, even compared to other cosmetic surgeries.

At the old Target store location I worked at, I used to have a coworker that would always wear heels. She had her pinky toes removed so she could wear heels 24/7. She showed me her feet and they looked fucking weird. XD

What do you mean, "urban myth"? Rib removal surgery is a thing that exists; there are situations in which people would need to have a rib or a few removed. Since there are surgeries involving rib removal, you'd only have to find a doctor willing to do it as a cosmetic surgery, and I'm fairly certain that at least one exists.

I swear I read a comment on here at some point that talked about how throughout the past hundred fifty something years music history there have numerous claims of just that on musicians or celebrities
