Is it normal that some joy division songs scare me

I love joy division, they are in my top 3 bands but some of their songs, especially "candidate", scare me slightly. if I'm on my own in my flat with music on and that song comes on I get a bit paranoid and have to change the track. I think it's really eerie and dark which I like but it's still scary

    If you name yourself after the prostitution wings in Nazi concentration camps, I wouldn't be surprised if some of your songs had an unsettling nature about them.
