Is it normal that some people misunderstand what flaming and trolling is?
Well, it's inevitable that we'll always encounter idiots on the internet. Any websites that have an open table for discussion harbor people that like to be malevolent, such as leaving a 'fuck you' by saying something irrelevant or uncalled for, whether it'd be directed towards one person or a group. What some people don't seem to realize is that flaming is completely different compared to trolling. It's strange to think petty insults are considered to be trolling, especially when flamers think it's something that makes their victims get a rise. However, trolling is an act of misleading/convincing people to have an outrageous and highly questionable mindset, idea, belief, etc. and indirectly pissing off a certain audience. Insults are clearly obvious, but trolling is more along the lines of this example.

Anonymous #2: She IS you. Who the fuck do you think you're fooling?
So, is this normal?
