Is it normal that the media are scum bags

More and more often I am seeing the media sensationalizing everything and even lying to get attention from viewers.

"Vince Neil and Nicolas Cage fight on the Las Vegas Strip after an incident with a fan."

They didn't fight. Fact was Cage stopped Neil from fighting and acting up....the two never fought or even attempted to fight each other.
