Is it normal that the new kid at work is annoying?

Yesterday, he asked me my age and how long I worked here, I told him I was 31 and I was there since 2006. He didn't believe me until another coworker told him my age. Then in a span of 8 hours he's saying stuff like this while looking at me:

"You're old, but you dont look it"

"I was two in 2006! Bet you feel old now"

"31! I just dont see it!"

"Wow! No crows feet!"

And a host of other things.

Why is he so amused by this?! I was tempted to tell him to shut up, but instead I politely told him to stop. He didn't seem to get it until my manager saw how much he was annoying me and actually told him to shut up.

Today he was amused by the fact that I kept chickens as pets. Is this normal?

      I may be 31, but I'm fitter than most of the 16-30 year olds there. Most of them get winded easily and complain about how sweaty and dirty they get.

      I dont know. I've had my fair share of run ins with crazy cats. Cats dont like me.

    Mehhh just sounds like either a dumb kid or someone that’s personality is to “play” the role of the annoying little brother

    If thats the case he is trying to be endearing to other in a cheeky and annoying but harmless way.

    But if that doesn’t gel with you, best thing is to make it clear thats not the way to interact with you
