Is it normal that the people finder sites don't have correct info about me?

They'll have my full name and age correct, but that's it. The town that they list me in is a town I haven't lived in in a long time. The addresses listed are houses I've never lived in. The only one they got right was the old house I used to live in when I was 19. The email listed is an email I stopped using a decade ago. The family members listed are people I'm not related to.

My cousin uses these sites because he's paranoid and looks up people he hires to babysit his kids. We wanted to see if the paid content had more info on me, but it was the same jumbled mess as the free shit.

Is it normal? It used to piss me off until the site incompetence
came in handy that one time when an annoying customer at my job was stalking me. She asked me if I lived there. It scared the shit out of me even though the address listed wasn't mine.

Yes, totally normal. The amount of information they have on me that is incorrect (usually way outdated from very long ago), or missing, is amazingly wrong.

They don't even have the correct information from the very public court system records for Wisconsin that anyone can access online (a few traffic tickets and I was a victim of a prosecuted criminal act and my name is listed as one of the plaintiffs in that case file). Some of the other missing information relates to Professional Licenses I have or held for decades (I just gave up my PE license in 2020 after about 35 years of having it); yet their was one site that listed a Professional License that I had likely 30 years ago for 2 years (I tried selling Insurance back then - from a company that used a negative sales pitch: ugg. Lesson learned).

What really blows my mind is that at least one of these sites list me as a long term "_political party_". I have absolutely no idea where they came up with that from... as I have never registered with any political party in my life.

I've given up on what those sites say, and will no longer pay them any money for anything. They obviously have no kind of quality checks on what they allow in as data - and clearly are not looking at the current publicly available data.

i believe that info is dredged up from telephone utility and credit accounts

some of mine is correct cause i had a listed landline and have had the same house for 20 years but some is inaccurate too and thats fine

    That info is always wrong.

I have never known anyone else with my full name - I have a reasonably uncommon first name and a very uncommon last name, so I'm fairly certain that I am the only one. So you'd think that would mean that it would be easy to track me.

Those sites always have the wrong info. I don't know where they get it from, but I automatically assume that everything on there about everyone is incorrect. They are useless.

What helps me is I've never gone by my real name in my life. Even at work they call me by my alias. It has led to alot of confusion when it comes to paperwork. Ill have to sign my real name on legal stuff and everyone is like whos name are you signing. I actually dont like my "alias" but my parents started calling me that when I was a baby.
