Is it normal that these wolves i encountered were friendly?

I was out camping in the woods the other day and I came across a pack of wolves while hiking. Obviously the first thing you do when you see a wild animal is to freeze, so that's what I did, but then the craziest thing happened. They went up to me and sniffed my had, then rolled over. I put my hand out and they let me pet them! Wtf is going on here??? They followed me around the rest of the day and snuggled up with me in the tent. WTF

no. all i had to do was look at their tails and their eyes to know that they are wolves.

You sure they were real Wolves? I find it hard to think
that wolves that are wild life animals just simply snuggle
with a complete stranger in a tent what you think?

Contrary to popular opinion, wolves are actually pretty shy animals when in the presence of humans. They will try to hide from people whenever possible. But they aren't like dogs at all who are domesticated; wolves are still wild animals and can be unpredictable.

    Probably sheep.
They look a lot like wolves at night.

Were they beggin for bacon strips? Or maybe it was a pack initiation. Like snuggling with you was hazing for the new guy.
