Is it normal that "voice fry" irritates me a great deal?

Voice fry is such an irritating sound. For some reason, it is mostly girls that do this. I want to shake them and tell them that there is nothing cute about it!

    I was watching the Bachelor and it seems like every one of those women use voice fry. I just kept thinking that if I were a guy, there were be no way in hell I could spend the rest of my life listening to that horrible crackling voice! I would eliminate all the voice fry women first. Then I realized they all have it!! What makes these women think this sounds cute?

    It annoys the hell out of me too. There is a guy on one of the local radio stations that talks like that sometimes and when I hear it I want to snap his neck. On one of the other stations I listen to there is a middle aged woman that talks like that also and I want to snap her neck when she does it too. Bloody irritating as hell.

    oh god, it is petty to say but I hate that too.My daughter and all her friends talks like that and they are in their forties. They think it makes them the hip moms or something. But I don't want to be that mother so I say nothing,But boy do I want to.
