Is it normal that warehouse or retail work is not considered a real job?
I work for a well known retail company in their grocery department and I sometimes work in one of their their warehouse locations. I make 20.98 an hour, I've been with the company for a few years, and know how to do multiple departments. I kinda always knew retail workers were considered deadbeats, but why the dang warehouse shifts? I get paid two dollars more an hour when they have openings and the retail job alone adds up to more than what the average person who looked down on me makes. Am I a deadbeat? It's true that I rarely have any leftover money to myself after my cell phone, food, insurance, credit card, my half of the mortgage and other bills are paid, but I thought I was doing good for someone who lived in NY. Is it normal?
