Is it normal that when i'm listening to music i feel like i'm breathing loud?

Whenever I'm listening to music through my earbuds or headphones, I become VERY conscious of my breathing.

I've read about people who get this during bus rides and such, but I've got it whenever someone else is in the room I'm in. It's alright if I take one earbud out, though, because then I can hear myself breathe. Is that normal...?

oh. A breath holder. You are breathing louder. Usually you subconsciously hold your breath because you are a natural born sneaky bastard, but when you put your headphones on, you start taking deeper breaths. Since I have the same trouble I think I am going to put my headphones on and finally breath more than half a liter of air per breath.

I sometimes have the same sensation. Ignore the resident troll, it's just a trick illusion you get from closing off your ear canals.
