Is it normal these days for people to find fault with literally everything?
Faults are normal. Everyone does stuff they regret, or don't. Some faults are 'worse' than others. But is it really normal to pick out faults for literally everything these days?
There's someone I know who picks out flaws and faults in everything. It could be about certain person or even something as boring as a pencil. This person will find a reason why pencils are controversial. And then it makes me feel like I'm a bad person for using a pencil, and that this person feels 'mighty' for basically shutting me up.
It's like the Tim Allen stuff going on right now - I don't care. I'm still going to watch his movies. That doesn't mean I support something wrong he did a hundred years ago. It doesn't even mean that I support HIM - I just watch some movies. I don't have any personal affinity for him. This goes for anything.
This is something I noticed widely across social media too so it seems common. Look I get it, if someone really did something terrible, then I agree it's terrible. But like, if someone likes a certain brand, you'll get a hundred people telling them all about how that brand has a controversial history, their business practices are 'sus', etc etc etc... It's like.. leave it alone, unless you are willing to commit to a cause and change it. I don't see the point in nit picking unless of course it's something obviously bad.
