Is it normal to answer like this?
Yesterday a friend of mine asked me go out with him with a text message. In said text he referred to himself as "world's best virgin". This message frankly scared me, not only because he's way to young to worry about his virginity, but also because of what he was implying. I got a lot of pick me boy vibes from him and later told him that I couldn't make it because I was busy with school work(which is strangely true) and that we would see eachother tomorrow (the next day we had a party). What alarmed me more was the way he reacted to this "rejection": he got irritated and didn't even use full phrases. I apologised and explained myself and he didn't seem to belive me, almost as he was trying to pity himself.
While I get that I might have been rude, I just didn't feel like going out alone with someone who uses self-deprecation and manipulates his friends into hanging out that night. I even tried to explain to him why that first message was weird to me, but he took it as joke.
